Joanne Munis is Empowering Women to Build Wealth for Financial Freedom

“I created a safe space where women could learn about money, investing, and generational wealth.”

Joanne Munis; Vested Woman Consulting Limited, Founder, CEO & Wealth Coach

Joanne Munis is more than a finance coach—she’s a transformational leader, mentor, and advocate for economic empowerment. As the founder of Vested Woman Consulting Limited, Joanne has dedicated her career to helping women, particularly those from ethnic minority backgrounds, gain confidence in managing their finances, investing, and building generational wealth.

“I don’t just focus on women’s finances,” Joanne explains. “I focus on how finances impact everyday life, from career decisions to mental wellbeing and long-term security.”

Through coaching, workshops, and an engaged community, Joanne has created a space where women can access the financial knowledge they need to take control of their futures.

Challenging Financial Inequality

The inspiration behind Vested Woman Consulting came from a deep awareness of the financial inequalities that women face. Studies show that women, particularly Black women, earn less than their white counterparts, have less access to financial resources, and are less likely to invest or build wealth. Joanne saw the urgent need for change.

“Financial education is often inaccessible, filled with jargon, and not tailored to the realities of ethnic minority communities,” she says. “I wanted to change that by creating a space where women could gain confidence, knowledge, and tangible strategies for financial independence.”

Through workshops, courses, webinars, and coaching programmes, Vested Woman equips millennial women with the tools to save, invest, and build wealth. By fostering a strong, supportive network, Joanne is ensuring that financial success is not just an individual pursuit, but a collective one.

A Moment That Changed Everything

Four years ago, Joanne launched a free personal finance community for ethnic minority women. What started as a small, passionate initiative quickly gained traction, proving just how much demand there was for financial education within her community.

“I created a safe space where women could learn about money, investing, and generational wealth,” she shares. “Over time, that trust and engagement turned into something bigger—a movement towards real financial empowerment.”

Today, Joanne’s impact extends to hundreds of women who have gained financial confidence, set and achieved professional and personal goals, and used their knowledge to uplift their families and communities.

The Power of Community and DiNN’s Role in Growth

Do it Now Now (DiNN) has played a significant role in Joanne’s entrepreneurial journey. Through the Starting Up programme, mentorship opportunities, and networking events, she has refined her skills and built the confidence to scale her business.

“DiNN provided the community and resources I needed to develop my business,” she says. “The connections I made and the mentorship I received have been invaluable in shaping my growth as an entrepreneur.”

From funding workshops to peer support networks, DiNN has helped Joanne strengthen her business model and amplify her impact.

Overcoming Barriers as a Black Woman in Business

Running a business as a Black woman comes with challenges—visibility, access to funding, and the need to scale efficiently while managing time and resources. As a solopreneur, Joanne has had to juggle multiple roles while finding ways to grow sustainably.

To navigate these obstacles, she has prioritised digital products, automation, and hiring specialist freelancers to expand her business’s reach.

“You can’t do everything alone,” she acknowledges. “Scaling requires smart systems, collaboration, and knowing when to delegate.”

Advice for Aspiring Entrepreneurs

For those looking to start or grow a business, Joanne shares four key lessons:

  1. Join Business Programmes – Seek out useful resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities.

  2. Collaborate with Other Entrepreneurs – Partnerships can help you reach new audiences and increase your impact.

  3. Scale Smartly – Use automation, digital tools, and AI to grow efficiently.

  4. Delegate Where Possible – Hiring freelancers and specialists can save you time and money in the long run.

Building a Future of Financial Empowerment

Joanne’s vision extends beyond individual financial success—she wants to reshape the economic future for ethnic minority communities. Through Vested Woman Consulting, she is ensuring that women have the tools, confidence, and support to build wealth that lasts for generations.

“Success isn’t just about what we achieve today,” she says. “It’s about the foundation we lay for the future. Financial education and empowerment are the keys to lasting change.”

Through her work, Joanne Munis is proving that financial freedom is within reach—and that by investing in knowledge and community, women can reclaim control over their financial destinies and build a legacy of wealth and success.
