Common Call’s Cost of Living Report Coming Soon

Research is at the heart of our work, as is lived experience. There are many comments and subtle hints to the anxieties of our community as they face a rise in overhead costs and a decrease in funding opportunities.

As such, we created a survey, and our community generously took the time to provide their lived experiences to guide our understanding of how the land currently lies in regard to the impact of the cost of living crisis. 93 organisations, all of which are Black-led and either a charity or social enterprise, completed the survey, and we’re finalising our insights of the results as you read this.

We’ve also recently written on the obvious benefits of unrestricted funding for our Common Call initiative. Based on our initial findings in the Cost of Living Report, it is unsurprising that increasing unrestricted funding is one of our main recommendations.

We’ll be releasing our full Cost of Living Report soon. Sign up for our newsletter to get a notification of its release as well as other important findings on the sector.
